Senior Engineer - Mechanical components

About this position:

In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others while working on design and development of engine components

Essential responsibilities:

Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Provide requested support to engine production through effective collaboration with the internal Supply Chain and/or external suppliers
As necessary, make decisions affecting airworthiness and environmental protection as per delegation in Design Organization Handbook
Act as the Hardware Owner and Design Group Leader for the assigned engine components

Qualifications/Requirements:

Master/Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant experience
Proficiency in English and Czech language
Proven experience in design - ideally within a production company
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven team building and collaboration ability
Project management and leadership skills

Desired Characteristics:

Active knowledge of the following tools and software: NX, TeamCenter, aPriori
Familiarity with the concepts of Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Six Sigma (SS) process improvement
