Supply Chain Finance Senior Analyst / Finance Lean

Role overview

The Supply Chain Finance Senior Analyst / Finance Lean Leader role will lead the Supply Chain Finance area and will be responsible for driving optimal performance (cost, fulfillment, quality) and profitability.

He/She will lead cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability and simplification in the GE Aviation Turboprops business’s key finance processes. He/She will partner with key business and functional leaders to understand, define and drive the implementation of Lean strategies and processes.

Responsibility #1: Supply Chain Finance Partnership

This area of responsibility will cover 50% of work scope and will include:
• Partner with the Supply Chain Site Leader and their broader teams to drive, communicate and influence the site supply chain operating results and supply chain strategy. Assist in setting and executing product cost strategy
• Independently lead Supply Chain Finance area with the support of a contractor.
• Partner with the Cost COE to drive actionable analytics across all key areas (e.g. product cost, cost out, inventory) and partner with the business to make viable recommendations to action
• Work together with function leaders to develop action plans to achieve business / financial goals
• Support financial closing and planning cycles

Responsibility #2: Finance Lean

This area of responsibility will cover 50% of work scope and will include:
• Actively drive the Lean transformation of the GE Aviation Turboprops Finance team
• Design and deliver a lean execution strategy across key horizontal finance processes (commercial finance, order-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, finance planning and analysis, supply chain finance etc).
• Develop value stream maps for the finance organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of Lean techniques. Connect broadly across the region to engage the finance organization at all levels to generate and implement potential solutions.
• Utilize Lean, Change and Project Management principles, methods, tools and techniques in combination with training, coaching and influencing skills to achieve specific project objectives/outcomes.

What you should meet to be the ideal candidate?

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven Finance experience: ideally from production company
• Proven Lean experience: significantly experienced in successfully implementing Lean/Lean Projects in an operational and industrial business setting
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)
• Fluency in English, Czech/Slovak language is an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
• Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change, provides data driven insights
• Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
• Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions, execute with a high sense of urgency, and ability to constructively challenge the status quo
