The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for technical publications administration, updates and user-friendly format for manuals on H-line/Catalyst turboprop aircraft engines. He/she will be participating in development of state of the art formats for future publications. He/she will work closely with Engineering department and resolve publication discrepancies.
Provide technical publications and updates for all new and existing product models (using R4i Authoring Software).
Troubleshoot and resolve publication discrepancies
Work with industry and customer standards to develop state of the art formats for future publications
Ensure projects are implemented on time with high quality and within budget.
Write, edit, and manage technical documentation in support of business products
Develop illustrations and simulations that show features and functions of the product in documentation
Create user-friendly technical documents that accompany product deliveries
Edit and maintain system documentation including, procedures, requirements and maintenance of hardware, software, network, and security
Work with team members to ensure that specifications / procedures are complete, accurate, and timely
Collaborate with hardware and software developers and engineers in the creation and implementation of this documentation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least some years of experience in Services/Engineering/Technical Publications).
Prior experience with software application technical writing is very welcome
Some knowledge of S1000D specification, Simplified Technical English (STE), and XML
Strong skills and knowledge using Microsoft Office applications, MS Word mastery is required
Experience with graphics software (e.g. Adobe, Cortona3D ...)
High Proficiency in English language is a must, Czech/Slovak language is an advantage
Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects, ability to work independently
Strong oral and written communication skills and customer service focused mindset
